DESCRIPTION

Confidence Building is a useful starting point if you are thinking of returning to work, or hoping to move on to Community or College courses.  Learn basic strategies for interacting with others in a range of settings. Target areas of low confidence and build your assertiveness, social skills and self-esteem. This class is a great way to push yourself to the next level.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course is intended for those starting work or entering further education for the first time, or after a long break.  It would also be suitable for those looking to generally increase confidence levels and social skills.

COURSE AIMS

This course is intended to demonstrate the strategies that can be used to raise confidence levels in a range of situations.

COURSE CONTENT

In an active, informal atmosphere students will learn through in group work and non-threatening participation. Topics include:
- identifying aims
- self-esteem
- social skills
- assertiveness
- motivation
- time management

Other possible sessions may include job interview skills, presentation skills, or interpersonal relationship issues.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
