DESCRIPTION
Now your confidence is growing this course offers the opportunity to use advanced features of your camera and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. Working with composition and exploring a variety of genres of photography you will begin to develop your own style and preferences. The digital editing on this course begins to explore layers and introduces you to cloning and healing techniques which will allow you to mend old or imperfect images. Adding borders and text to your images makes them much more personal. This next step course teaches you more advanced features of your digital compact camera and photo manipulation to develop your confidence and skills.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Students will have an interest in digital photography and a desire to learn how to use the advanced features of their camera and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.

COURSE AIMS
To equip students with skills in the rapidly expanding area of digital photography, enabling them to produce and manipulate images electronically for personal use.
COURSE CONTENT
Content covers aspects of the use of digital compact cameras, editing and manipulation of images with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.
Topics include:
- Advanced features of equipment and editing techniques
- Practical activity using computing software (Adobe Photoshop Elements 6)
- Practical activity using a variety of photographic techniques, file formats, commands, layers etc
- An overview of the range of subject matter and applications within the field of digital photography
The course uses Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 photo editing software and students will be advised of the benefits and practicalities of purchasing their own copy.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students are strongly recommended to complete the Digital Photography for the Terrified course before progressing to this course. Students must have basic computer knowledge, keyboard and mouse skills and a sound understanding of MSWindows XP (or later) file management and have access to a computer at home. Also, students should have their own digital compact camera or be about to purchase a digital camera.
