This award is recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council, who were involved in its development. Learners may increase their employability skills by understanding their responsibilities in the workplace, develop self-evaluation skills and confidence in goal setting.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
For people with Standard Grades, relevant work experience or have successfully completed a relevant course at introductory level.
Please note that for all care courses involving work experience placement, an offer of a place is subject to a satisfactory check through Disclosure Scotland.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
On successful completion students may progress onto the HNC in Social Care before proceeding onto the BA in Social Work at The Robert Gordon University. Full completion of the group award may offer progression to social work.
