The National Certificate in Animal Care has been designed as a flexible, practical-based programme which aims to provide candidates with a range of practical and industry relevant skills supported by relevant and up to date knowledge and understanding. The course offers a wide range of animal care experiences based on practical and theory classes. Completing the Group Award will put candidates in a stronger position to move to the next stage of their career and should increase their chances of doing this successfully.
This course is suitable for people who have achieved the basic animal care course. Consideration would also be given to those applicants who have achieved the appropriate Standard Grades/Intermediate 2. They should however, have a genuine interest in animals and be prepared for the written work associated with this award
