DESCRIPTION
This course, which incorporates the City & Guilds Advanced Diploma for IT Practitioners Level 3, is aimed at students with a sound background and practical knowledge of computing and Information Technology. Level 3 e-Quals IT Practitioner in Systems Support helps to advance your skills in customer support provision and maintaining equipment and systems. It covers a range of computer support related topics which give further understanding and knowledge of the skills required for eventual work in the world of computing and IT support.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This course is suitable for those who successfully completed City & Guilds IT Practitioners (ICT System Support) Level 2. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry subject to availability.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis, it does however have two online City & Guilds exams. Coursework takes the form of essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. Most of the assessment of student work is undertaken by College staff.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students can progress to higher level courses such as HNC or HND Computing or enter employment as a computer support industry trainee.
