DESCRIPTION

This SQA Award will introduce you to the principles and applications of electronics. The course is a nationally recognised qualification, which will improve or enhance the employment potential of successful students.

COURSE CONTENT

To gain the award you be required to be successful with 12 credits. These are 10 core units and 2 optional units with certification from the SQA. The main units are listed below

UNITS

Analogue Electronic Principles
Combinational Logic
Sequential Logic
Single Phase AC Circuits
Electronic Testing Skills

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS OR GUIDANCE REQUIRED

The entry requirement for this course is either Higher Mathematics or Physics or a NC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

CERTIFICATION

This is a 12 credit SQA HNC Award.
