DESCRIPTION
This is a college certificate course which gives students hands on experience of creating Web pages for use on the Internet using Photoshop and Dreamweaver software. On completion, students may wish to undertake other college certificate classes.
COURSE CONTENT
To design web pages which have a clear purpose. The design, the style, the text, the graphics all should serve the main goal. The design must be structured carefully to create a clear and simple presentation for the viewer.
- Identification of the main purpose(s) of the Web Site.
- Storyboards of the pages and links.
- Preparation of Page Graphics.
- Production of text of the pages.
- Plan interactive elements.
- Creating a value-added strategy.
- Write HTML code.
- Proofing of work for errors, possible misinterpretations of the presentation, potential legal matters, and other demands requiring correction.
- Exposition of uploading to the server computer for access via the WWW.
- Exposition of indexing and directory services.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS OR GUIDANCE REQUIRED
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
CERTIFICATION
An Aberdeen College Certificate will be awarded on successful completion of this course.
