Hair & Beauty Academy

North East Scotland College has its very own Hair & Beauty salons where our hairdressing and beauty therapy students study and learn the latest techniques and treatments.

Located in the Basement of the Main Block, Gallowgate Centre, the Academy has been established as a realistic working environment for training purposes and the public are welcome and encouraged to visit the salons and take advantage of the discounted services that are available.

Call today and make an appointment to have your hair cut, coloured or have a manicure or massage.

Although every effort will be made to provide you with the treatment you have booked, we reserve the right to offer an alternative treatment to enable individual students the opportunity to establish their skills and to collect vital evidence required for certifications. Although every effort will be made to avoid this, cancellation of an appointment may happen on occasion due to circumstances outwith our control. Alternative appointments will be offered where possible.

Students reserve the right to adapt the treatment with no alteration to the price stated. Although every effort is made to complete the treatments in a commercial time, this is not always possible in a training environment. Please take this into consideration when booking your appointment. Please note that all clients will be asked to undergo a “patch” test prior to treatments involving the application of products to skin or hair.

Please note that North East Scotland College does not offer creche facilities - therefore children cannot be left unattended whilst clients are receiving treatments. The College also does not allow clients to take children (i.e. those aged under 16) with them into any classroom or any other teaching areas (including Hair & Beauty Salons, IT Centres and Libraries).

These are just some of the services available at the Hair & Beauty Academy.
