International Guidance Tutor
Zuzana Banicova is the International Guidance Tutor at Aberdeen College and is able to offer advice and guidance to international students on a range of matters relating to living and studying in the UK.
She is also authorised by the College to provide immigration advice and assistance under the terms of the Immigration Services Commissioner's exemption scheme which came into force on 30 April 2001.
Zuzana can answer questions and provide information on a variety of issues that can affect international students during their time at College. For example:
- Extending your 'leave to remain' in the UK
- What to do if your application is refused
- Switching status to 'student' from another category e.g. 'visitor'
- Bringing your spouse and family to the UK
- Police registration
- International students and College fees
- Opening a bank account
- Registering with a doctor or dentist
- International students and council tax

Alternatively you can make an appointment in person by going along to the Learner Services reception desk, which is situated at the entrance to the South Block in the Gallowgate Centre.
Zuzana also offers a 'drop in' session each week (Friday, 10:30am - 11:30am) for which no appointment is needed.
If you want to make use of this service please arrive as close as possible to the starting time of the session and report to the Learner Services reception desk.
