Fees Assessment Questionnaire

Legislation set down by the UK government instructs publicly funded colleges and universities on the conditions that students have to fulfil in order to be eligible to be classed as ‘home’ students for fee purposes. These conditions relate to residence and immigration status. The ‘main’ conditions which need to be met are that the student:

has been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for the specified three year period preceding the course applied for and
is settled in the UK within the definition of the Immigration Act 1971 (as amended) and
has not been resident for any part of that period mainly for the purposes of education

Certain ‘categories’ of student can qualify for ‘home fee status’ under other conditions:

	Those temporarily employed outside the UK	complete Section 3
	European Union (EU) nationals resident in the EEA and relevant family members	complete Section 4
	EEA migrant workers and relevant family members	complete Section 5
	Children of Turkish workers in the UK	complete Section 6
	Asylum seekers	complete Section 7
	Refugees, persons of similar status and relevant family members	complete Section 8
	If your circumstances are not covered by any of the above	complete Section 9
