Learning Development Centre

The College offers a wide range of learning support to learners who have additional learning requirements including: physical or sensory impairments, specific learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, autistic spectrum disorder and physical/mental health or medical conditions.

The Learning Development Centre provides a number of different types of support for learners across the College. The type of help provided will vary according to the individual requirements of the learner. This support is given by experienced staff and may be provided on a one–to–one basis or in small groups.

The types of support offered include:

Many learners will not require any support above and beyond that which is provided within the College's inclusive learning environment. If you feel that you may require additional support, we would encourage you to contact us at an early stage, so that we can consider how best to support you if you are accepted onto a College course. Please note that the College's responsibilities extend to supporting your educational needs only and that other forms of support may be the responsibility of partner agencies. Initial enquires can be made to Learner Services who will direct your enquiry to one of the Learning Development Centre team.
